With the departure of Felipe Anderson, the rumors have multiplied for new arrivals to replace the Brazilian. Vazquez, Gonzalo Nicolas Martinez, Lozano, Rony Lopes, Luan, Dzagoev – the names continue to grow, and the most recent is that of former Juventus man Sebastian Giovinco according to Italian newspaper Il Messaggero.
His adventure in the MLS is no longer going well, and at 30 years of age, Giovinco would gladly return to his homeland in Italy. He has a contract expiring in 2019 and would slide into the Lazio side with ease due to his experience and nationality. This season he has only 4 goals and 4 assists in 16 matches – a very low total compared to his other season since joining in 2015.
