Report: Sevilla’s Franco Vazquez a possible replacement for Felipe Anderson?

The recent departure of Felipe Anderson to West Ham has accelerated Lazio’s chase for a suitable replacement. Lazio is as always linked to Atalanta’s Papu Gomez, but the Bergamo club wants 15 million euros and is not ready to give Lazio any discount since they really do not want nor need to part with their Argentine star; earlier today Gonzalo Nicolas Martinez was the latest player linked to the Laziali. In addition, according to Corriere dello Sport it is reported that interest for Sevilla’s trequartista (secondary striker) Franco Vazquez, is the latest potential option.

Franco Vazquez is nicknamed ”Il Mudo” – ”The Mute” because of his reserved personality with few words. He is born in Cordoba, Argentina, but has an Italian passport, earlier representing Gli Azzurri. Before he left for Spain, Vazquez formed a deadly partnership with Paulo Dybala in Palermo. Perhaps he could be a perfect alternative to Luis Alberto behind Ciro Immobile?
