Report: Lazio look towards Crotone’s Simy for attacking depth

Lazio are looking towards bringing more attackers to the club this summer transfer market. With three weeks remaining in the market, Lazio are still without a valuable replacement for Immobile. According to CittaCeleste, Crotone’s Nigerian centre-forward Simy has now appeared as a man on the biancocelesti’s radar. This would be to add more attacking depth to the squad behind Ciro Immobile and imminent signing Wesley Moraes.

After last season, Lazio clearly realized the importance of getting quality back-ups for their capocannoniere and might be working on fortifying the position. Simy is rumored to cost around 10-15 million euros, with ex-Laziale Stephen Makinwa helping to try to negotiate a deal.

Simy scored 7 goals in 23 appearances last season for Crotone, with 6 of those goals coming in the last 10 games. One to forget for Laziali, was the one against Lazio in that crucial match to secure a spot in Champions League (the match ended in a draw). With Simy opting to play in the Serie A, there is still the possibility that Crotone could make their way back to the top flight depending on Chievo’s fate. This would obviously complicate the potential signing.
