Report: Igli Tare at work for Arsenal’s Iwobi

Lazio is working hard to find a replacement for Felipe Anderson, for manager Simone Inzaghi. Much of the last clues collected in the last hours lead to England – Arsenal to be exact. According to Il Messaggero, the latest profile that is of interest to the biancocelesti is Alex Iwobi, who could be sold on the basis of a fee around 20-25 million euros.

A winger who is of Nigerian descent with English citizenship, Iwobi is only 22-years of age: he is a winger or attacker who can play on both the left and right flanks, who is very pacey, reminding Laziali a lot of Felipe Anderson. He featured 26 times in the Premier League last season, picking up 3 goals and 5 assists.

The Arsenal player is said to be out of Unai Emery’s plans at the Emirates for this upcoming season, and this could turn out to be an a very good opportunity for the biancocelesti, especially with the friendly that is scheduled between the two clubs in August (adding more suspense and faith to the reports). His World Cup showing did not go very well, and the Gunners are said to be ok with him leaving the club, if the right fee is received.
