Lazio currently has about 4 keepers on its official squad list. Strakosha, Proto, Vargic, and Guerrieri. Of the 4 it should be no surprise that Ivan Vargic might be on his way out and back to his previous outfit.
We previously stated that Vargic was among a list of potential departures due to Lazio’s interest in having a new vice for Strakosha. That vice came in the form of former Anderletch keeper Silvio Proto.
Now it seems that Ivan has made more official moves that confirm rumors he is leaving.
According to cittaceleste.it:
“Ivan Vargic could return to Rijeka. The Croatian finished on the edge of Lazio during the second part of last season, and has now recieved special permission to train with the club. At 31 years old, he did not take part in the Auronzo retreat and now awaits news on his contract with Lazio that ends in June of 2020”.
