Pedro Neto is one of the two Portuguese signings made by Tare and Lazio last summer, with a 2-year loan before a permanent move is made official next summer. Bruno Jordan is the other and both are currently at Auronzo, looking to impress Simone Inzaghi ahead of the new season.
Speaking to Lazio Style Radio, Pedro Neto spoke about the upcoming season:
“The withdrawal is going well, I work all day to improve. Here in Italy the pace is more sustained, it is a tough championship. The team is strong so it is difficult to make space. Today I feel better physically, than in Serie A it is important.
Even tactically it is difficult to face the Italian teams, and it is an aspect on which I feel much improved. Me and Jordao, we are young, so we have to play to keep up the pace. Training is not enough. Inzaghi helps me in everything, he says I have to score because it’s fundamental for an attacker.
I play more outdoors, but here at Lazio I’m training to do the second tip. In this role, I have less time to think and I have to play back to the door. Nani helped me a lot, also because he is Portuguese. Now there are Radu and Leiva, who spur me to improve because they say I have so much quality. This year my goal is the debut and to show the coach that I can say my piece.”
