With Lazio finalizing a deal for 23-year-old Sevilla forward Joaquin Correa, his coach Pablo Machin talked about the transfer market and the player. He stated “there are many offers for my players and Sevilla has invested in many good players because of these offers and the money that comes once deals are finalized. We have to make sure these offers are attractive ones. As it comes to Joaquin Correa, we know that he plays a specific position on the field, but he plays best when directly behind the striker.”
He continued, “I have total conviction that all players are professionals and when they play, they are thinking of nothing else. If they are thinking elsewhere, players must communicate this to me instantly, because if they are not willing to give 100% to Sevilla they won’t play. The transfer market has always been crazy and anything can happen at any moment. It’s very possible that player’s who have been playing for Sevilla will not stay at the club.”
With that being said, the transfer of Correa to Lazio looks to be in the final steps of completion, as Lazio may have found their man to replace Felipe Anderson.
