According to Eurosport, Lazio President Claudio Lotito is ready to present a project aimed at relaunching Bari from the Serie D to quickly regain stages more appropriate for the crest of the red and white club. By Monday, in fact, Lotito will meet the mayor of Bari to present the program, which is based on a holding company.

If the deal goes through, Lotito would leave Pietro Mezzaroma 100% of the shares for Salernitana, the club that he has been a member of since 2011 when the granata fell to Serie D following bankruptcy.

Lotito’s interest is said to be concrete and will hopefully provide a quick climb to bring back the capital of Puglia to the glories of the past. There have been initial contacts between to two parties and now they will try to encounter once again to reach the final definitive agreements. The other interested parties (Cairo and Ferrero), in fact, after the first initial interest, have not followed up with the potential acquisition.

Currently, only the bureaucracy keeps FC Bari 1908 alive due to the last desperate appeal of the former President Giancaspro at CONI. However, without a doubt, all the players will be released from the side by the Lega.
