Lazio continue to be on the look for a new right full-back with Serbian Dusan Basta’s future uncertain. With rumours initiating back at the end of May, SPAL’s Manuel Lazzari has been and continued to be an option, until just recently when Rocco Fabio of LazioNews24 had made contact with the agency of the young Italian. Their name? Italian Managers Group S.R.L – Lazzari being their most valued footballer. Here is what the had to say surrounding the reported interest from Lazio.
“Non è stato trattato in occasione dell’amichevole Lazio-SPAL. Quindi Manuel Lazzari non è obiettivo della Lazio”, were their words.
In English: “He [Lazzari] was not scouted in the friendly of Lazio-SPAL [Lazio 3 – SPAL 0]. Therefore, Manuel Lazzari is not an objective for Lazio”.
At 24-years of age, he would have been a perfect replacement for the now 33-year-old, but for now we will see if any other deals progress on this front.
