Inter has been unleashed on the summer transfer market. In the last few days, in addition to the purchase of Croatian international and former Sassuolo man from Atletico Madrid, Sime Vrsaljko, both Arturo Vidal and Luka Modric have seemed to have approached the Nerazzurri club. If either one of these two players to ended up joining the squad, it would be unavoidable for someone to leave, Joao Mario is the first name on the list.

According to the latest rumours from Cittaceleste, Kia Joorabchian who is the agent of the Portuguese player, is very active in trying to find the former Sporting Lisbon and Portuguese international a new accommodation. The midfielder has been proposed to Tottenham, West Ham and also to the biancocelesti colours of Lazio. Claudio Lotito, however, is only interested for a loan with the right of redemption – a formula that currently does not interest or support the Nerazzurri club who would be looking for a cash sum upfront.

Joao Mario spent the latter half of the 2017/18 season in the Premier League on loan with West Ham. He managed to become a fan favourite in his short 6-month tenure, as he picked up 13 appearances, 2 goal and 1 assist. However, he has now landed back in Milan after his world Cup outing with Portugal and his future is left to be decided upon.
