Murgia leaves Marienfeld for broken finger: surgery required

Finally, the reasoning behind Alessandro Murgia’s departure from the Lazio squad. Not even in the slightest related to the transfer market, the young Italian has had to leave the Lazio training camp in Marienfeld after tests revealed he has a broken finger which requires surgery. There had been concern after he was spotted in training with a bandage on his hand.

This is the official statement from Alessandro Murgia, posted to his instagram: “Due to a broken finger, I am forced, with great regret despite attempts to push through the pain, to leave the withdrawal with Lazio. Tomorrow morning I will undergo a minor surgery to be able to return faster to train, with even more desire and hunger 🤙🏼💪🏼
