Fabrizio Corsi, the president of Empoli, has shown interest in Lazio’s Italian midfielder Danilo Cataldi for quite some time. However, today he has fully denied any sort of desire for the player.
The words from the patron of the Tuscan club to Radio Incontro Olympia are clear: “Empoli onto Cataldi? We are not interested in the sporting performance of Danilo. Will there be a negotiation in the final sprint before the market closes? I can respond with no, i’m currently on vacation…”.
Cataldi’s position is currently jam-packed with 6 to 7 other players reportedly ahead of him in the pecking order. This has lead Lazio wanting to loan him away from Rome, although the player himself has a desire to stay with the club.
Will Lazio keep hold of the centrocampista? We will have to wait to find out.
