The situation concerning Milinkovic-Savic is leaving everyone in suspense. Much will depend on whether he leaves or remains: former Lazio captain Pino Wilson spoke about the market situation to RMC Sport.
“If there was success last year, it can be repeated once again. Good players like Badelj have arrived, who are great purchases for Lazio. If all the big players remain, with the same motivations of the last season, then it can really be repeated”.
Talking about Sergej Milinkovic-Savic: “I would not sell him. Milan certainly were not able to meet the demands of Lazio. If you get a very high offer for him however, Lazio can not refuse because with that money you could raise the overall quality of the team”.
He closed the interview talking about how Lazio conceded too many goals last season:“It’s never the fault of one department alone. The defensive phase in midfield was often missed. One needs to find the balance between attack and defense.”
