Marius Adamonis set for loan; Strakosha recovering full fitness

Lazio’s young Lithuanian goalkeeper Marius Adamonis seems destined for a loan way from Rome this season.

Thomas Strakosha is working hard in training to recover 100% fitness with Silvio Proto playing in goal for most of Lazio’s pre-season friendlies.

Proto, the experienced Belgian that Lazio signed from Olympiakos this summer, will be playing vice-Strakosha this season, with the thought that he will feature heavily in Lazio’s Europa League campaign.

Guido Guerrieri, 22, will be Lazio’s third keeper for the season – meaning Adamonis will likely be leaving on loan. His destination is currently unknown, but it will be a vital season for the Lithuanian to impress – perhaps to hold a place in the Lazio squad next season.
