Follow our live updates as we cover the key moments in the match:

18:15 – FULL TIME – Dortmund 1-0 Lazio

Dortmund emerge victorious after a late flurry of positive play from Lazio. Correa does well to fashion a chance for himself before Burki saves. Inzaghi will be disappointed but the match highlights some of the key areas of improvement that need fixing before the Serie A season kicks off.

18:00 Dortmund 1-0 Lazio

After a mistake by Bürki, Immobile nearly capitalised yet the score remains 1-0. Marusic made a few positive moments before being substituted for Dusan Basta. Joaquin Correa has come on for Luis Alberto and Danilo Cataldi has come on for Milan Badelj. Poor passing from Lazio has presented any real end-product. For Dortmund, Larsen, Schmelzer and Delaney have come off, with Witsel, Zagadou and Wolf coming on.

17:45 Dortmund 1-0 Lazio

A couple of good chances for Dortmund so far in the second half. Marco Reus had a shot saved on the counter, whilst Dahoud put a shot just wide after a set piece play. Two Lazio substitutes for the second half, Luiz Felipe on for Wallace and Martin Caceres on for Durmisi. Chance for Lazio as Caceres switched play to Immobile, who played the ball to Marusic with one touch – with Marusic volleying the ball over the bar.

18:15: HALF-TIME Dortmund 1-0 Lazio

The end of the first half saw a couple of chances for either side. Luis Alberto played a stray pass in what was a wasted opportunity, he also fired a free-kick way over the bar. Christian Pulisic had a good chance for Dortmund when he found himself unmarked on the back post,  with Strakosha making a brilliant save.

The first half is over. Lazio are clearly still behind in conditioning. Reus scores a lucky opening goal that takes a dramatic deflection off of Radu to loop over Strakosha’s head. The Albanian makes a key stop on Pulisic to deny the German club a second goal. Lazio have been wasteful.

18:05: Dortmund 1-0 Lazio

Borussia Dortmund have been dominant in midfield over the past fifteen minutes, having a good chance denied by heroics from Francesco Acerbi. Milan Badelj has been a positive influence, helping fuel the midfield – whilst Riza Durmisi has looked weak out on the left.

17:50: Dortmund 1-0 Lazio

The game remains 1-0 to Borussia Dortmund but the game has really opened up. Milinkovic-Savic had a shot saved brilliantly by Bürki and Luis Alberto had a long range effort saved too. Dortmund have been dangerous too, with Gotze and Reus being especially threatening in the last ten minutes.

17:41: CHANCE – Dortmund 1-0 Lazio

Chance for Ciro immobile; the ball is passed out right to Luis Alberto, for the Spaniard to cross the ball to the far post – Immobile fluffed it over bar.

17:38: GOAL – Dortmund 1-0 Lazio

After Marco Parolo lost possession, Pulisic made a run down the field and, after a Badelj slide tackle, the ball went out wide to Reus on the left. The ball falls to the feet of Reus who strikes the ball, taking a deflection off Stefan Radu and into the back of the net.
