Jordan Lukaku has been constantly linked with a move away from Lazio throughout the transfer window, yet it appears he will be staying at Lazio as he attempts to get fit ahead of the new season.
After being asked on Instagram by a Lazio fan where he was, Lukaku responded with “I’m injured, I’m working to get back to 100%”
This comes just days after he has been linked with a move to Sporting Lisbon and weeks after an initial flurry of interest from the Premier League; with at one point the possibility that he would be joining Felipe Anderson in his move from Lazio to West Ham.
However, Lukaku will likely be staying and Lazio have a contract renewal prepared for him; on one condition – that he stays fit. Il Corriere dello Sport are reporting that Lazio are offering a renewal, with a guarantee that he will work on his fitness. Durmisi will be competition for Jordan Lukaku and there is a danger that Lukaku could fail to get fit and lose his place altogether.
