The Sergej Milinkovic-Savic saga is nearing an end; with a number of clubs having been interested in the 23-year-old Serbian midfielder. With this, comes the details of the reported contract extension that the club are offering the player.
According to what has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, Milinkovic-Savic will earn €3.2 million per season plus bonuses, until an expiry date of 2023 – although it is unlikely that he will remain at the team for this length of time.
Milan were the latest club to have ‘reported interest’ in the midfielder, yet Milan’s loan ‘hypothesis’ did not appeal to Claudio Lotito. The possibility of a move to Real Madrid is still a faded danger yet for now, it appears as though Milinkovic-Savic will be staying at Lazio.
