There have been several sources stating that Serbian right-back Dusan Basta will be leaving Lazio this summer. Parma, Bologna – the now 33-year old has been with the biancocelesti since 2014, and is closing in on 100 official appearances for the club. However, with Marusic, Patric, Lombardi, Djavan Anderson, Caceres and Berisha able to play the defenders position, his age is said to be having a detrimental impact on his longevity at the club.
Today, the defender spoke to ilpais.it about his situation with the biancoceleste: “I feel good and am happy in Rome, Lazio is a great club that follows you very well. We hope to perform better than last season, like [Simone] Inzaghi asks us to”.
