The last training session before Lazio vs. Napoli will be held at the Stadio Olimpico, a day before the new biancoceleste season which is scheduled for Saturday 18 August, in what will be the second match of the Serie A TIM (following Chievo vs. Juventus).
The coach will speak at the press conference on the eve of the match to announce his starting XI on Friday 17 August, before performing this last training session. However, with Patric, Lucas Leiva (on a yellow card, but Simone Inzaghi is weary for the next match against Juventus), and Lulic (a day of disqualification for Lulic, who had two yellows for fouls) suspended for the first match against Napoli at home (Patric also suspended for the second match against Juventus for protesting blatantly and running towards the playing field, addressing the officials with outrageous expressions), Simone Inzaghi is said to have tested what is to be the starting XI last weekend against Borussia Dortmund.
New arrivals Francesco Acerbi and Milan Badelj are set to start, while Durmisi (unimpressed on weekend’s match) will be replaced with Martin Caceres on that left flank. The only position that Laziali are unaware of, is that central right-back role – will Wallace, Bastos, or Luiz Felipe start? The rest of the squad will remain the same: Strakosha in goal; Radu joining Acerbi in the back-line; Marusic on the right flank; Milinkovic-Savic and Parolo in the midfield to complement holding midfielder Badelj; and Luis Alberto and Immobile up top.
