One of the potential exits from Lazio this summer was Felipe Caicedo. The Ecuadorian forward struggled to make an impact last season, failing to step up to the plate when required to in the absence of Ciro Immobile.
A number of clubs have been linked with Caicedo this summer, including interest from Club America in Mexico and Rayo Vallecano in Spain. Vallecano were thought to be accelerating in the race of Felipe Caicedo, yet the latest reports from Il Messaggero suggest that, as Vallecano chose to sign a different player, Felipe Caicedo will stay at Lazio.
Therefore, as Caicedo is set to stay in Rome, Lazio will likely not sign a new striker; with Alessandro Rossi and Caicedo holding the weight of responsibility if Ciro Immobile were to get injured or rested.
