Despite Lazio losing 2-1 to Napoli on Saturday evening, Ciro Immobile managed to get his season off to a good start – scoring a fantastic goal, wrong-footing 3 Napoli defenders and finessing a shot into the back of the net.
Immobile comes off the back of a fantastic 17/18 season, scoring 41 goals in 47 games in all competitions; cementing his place as one of the most prolific forwards in Europe.
Now, Immobile is set for a reward for his impressive performances. This comes in the form of a new contract extension; which would see Immobile’s wage rise from €2.2 million to €3 million per season. The extension would tie the Italian forward to Lazio until 2023.
