Milan Badelj made his debut for Lazio in the 2-1 loss against Napoli; in the absence of Lucas Leiva, who was serving a suspension for the match. However, the latest reports from Il Messaggero suggest that Badelj and Leiva could, in fact, be playing side-by-side for Inzaghi; leaving Marco Parolo on the bench and the team adopting a 3-4-2-1 formation.
The 3-4-2-1 would see Badelj and Leiva play as a central midfield duo, with Luis Alberto and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in front; and Ciro Immobile up top. The additional signing of Valon Berisha and the return of Danilo Cataldi means that Simone Inzaghi has a plethora of midfield options available to him; allowing him to find the perfect combination to lead Lazio forward.
