Mr. Roberto De Cosmi spoke to the Lazio Style Radio [channel 89.3] microphones to take note of the situation at Lazio in light of the next match away against Juventus, starting from the defeat of the Biancocelesti against Napoli in the first matchday of the Serie A: “Against Napoli the draw would have been the most correct result, also considering the post hit by Acerbi in the last minute. We had some major disqualifications and some players were not at the best of conditions. During the first half hour, Lazio dominated Napoli and perhaps we could have capitalized on the advantage obtained. In the second half, we had some difficulties: we were too deep. Lazio tried to re-open the race anyway, but then on a lucky ball, there was the magic of Insigne. There is time for the squad to grow as there is work to do. Mr. Inzaghi was clear in the post match. There is regret, but there is no need to cry about it; we must optimize resources in the best possible way by putting gasoline in the player’s legs. This is also because Saturday afternoon against Juventus will be a very difficult match”.

The next topic he responded on was surrounding the conditioning of the players: “In the first few matches, you can not have an optimal condition; only Atalanta who have already played several Europa League games, is already ready to go. We saw this to be true as all the others top sides have or almost have, suffered in the first match”.

The final topic was Juventus: “It will be a particular match, we will recover two important players: Lucas Leiva and Lulic are essential elements. Lazio needs to be on high alert and have attention to detail; they will also need to study the bianconero club in the best way possible. From this point of view, one more week of training can help and without a doubt, it will be a more ready and prepared Lazio”.
