Gautieri: “Napoli made Lazio suffer and won thanks to the performances of its star players”

The first day of the Serie A TIM left some clues: Juventus struggled, as did Roma in Turin and Inter against Sassuolo, while Lazio, in the long run, had given way for Napoli to succeed after lackluster performance after a strong start. An opinion on the first round of Serie A was provided by Carmine Gautieri, former player, and manager of Atalanta and Napoli, to the microphones of TimGate: “The big clubs had some difficulties, but the quality of their star players [like Insigne, Bernardeschi, and Dzeko] made the difference. Napoli made Lazio suffer in Rome, winning 2-1 thanks to Insigne. The big players have great talents that make the difference. The only exception in this statement was Inter who were missing in action.”
