At one point this summer, it looked like Lazio’s Brazilian centre-back Wallace could have been leaving the club, with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Liverpool reportedly interested from the Premier League.
Now, Wallace will get the chance to prove that Inzaghi’s faith in him is justified as he is set to start, alongside Francesco Acerbi and Stefan Radu, in Lazio’s defensive line for the match against Juventus on Saturday evening.
He will likely play from the right-centre-back position, with Radu on the left and Acerbi central.
Adam Marusic has recovered fully from a sprained ankle, which put him on a different training routine for the past few days – the Montenegrin will be able to play against Juventus.
