Luiz Felipe suffered an injury against Napoli and, despite starting the game, went off at half-time to be replaced by Bastos. The injury did not look good at first glance and some Laziale feared he might be out for a very prolonged period of time.
However, according to the latest reports from Il Corriere dello Sport, the medical staff at Lazio will help Luiz Felipe recover in time for the end of next month, when Lazio play local rivals Roma on the 29th of September.
It is possible that the young Brazilian centre-back could recover beforehand but it is still a key loss at a bad time for Lazio. Instead, Inzaghi will choose between Bastos and Wallace; giving one of the once-linked away defenders a chance to impress in the meantime – with a good performance especially vital given the trip to Juventus that takes place tomorrow evening.
