Lazio are already on the verge of tying up new deals for Ciro Immobile and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic but there is one more the Biancocelesti want to get over the line to create a strong trio of contract renewals: Lucas Leiva.
Leiva joined Lazio from Liverpool last summer and has quickly become a favourite amongst Lazio fans and players alike – becoming an instrumental part of the team that very nearly qualified for the UEFA Champions League.
Lucas Leiva’s current contract with Lazio sees him earn around €2.5 million per season and, although a new contract would not see him paid more, a new deal would see Leiva’s contract expire in 2021 rather than 2020 when it is set to.
