Lazio team news: Lukaku returns to Rome; Wallace to play again

Lazio take on Frosinone this weekend, as the Biancocelesti search for their first victory of the season. Defeats to Juventus and Napoli showed their positives but ultimately proved Lazio are not quite ready yet to challenge at the top of the table. Jordan Lukaku returned to Rome yesterday to take medical tests at the Paideia clinic ahead of his potential return to the squad.

Lukaku is currently unregistered for Lazio’s squad, meaning he cannot play until a space is freed up – perhaps the club have something planned for the final days of the transfer window in some countries.

Valon Berisha is still unavailable, as he works to return to prime condition; whilst Luiz Felipe is out with an injury until the end of September at the earliest. Spanish full-back/centre-back Patric returns to the team, after serving a 2-match suspension picked up in the final day of last season, in that fateful game against Inter Milan.

Expected line-up for Lazio-Frosinone:

Lazio (3-5-2/3-5-1-1): Strakosha; Radu, Acerbi, Wallace; Lulic, Badelj, Lucas Leiva, Milinkovic-Savic, Marusic; Luis Alberto, Ciro Immobile
