Lazio will now likely be in Pot 2 for tomorrow’s Europa League group draw. Last night’s Champions League results, with Red Bull Salzburg exiting the competition, has made this the truth unless one of Sevilla, Besiktas, Zenit, Basel or Olympiakos fail to qualify tonight. Below are the first leg results of the aforementioned clubs.
- Sigma 0-1 Sevilla;
- Olympiakos 3-1 Burnley;
- Partizan 1-1 Besiktas;
- Zenit 3-1 Molde;
- Basel 3-2 Limassol.
Other Serie A clubs: Milan will likely appear in Pot 2, while Atalanta will likely be in Pot 3 if they can beat Copenhagen away tonight; Atalanta drew 0-0 at home in Bergamo in the first leg.
Something to consider: Lazio cannot be drawn in the same group as any other Italian club.
