Francesco Acerbi moved to Lazio from Sassuolo this summer and has quickly settled in the heart of the Biancocelesti defence. He was signed to replace Stefan de Vrij, who left Lazio to join Inter Milan on a free transfer.
Speaking about Francesco Acerbi, Sassuolo owner Giorgio Squinzi was interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport about the 30-year-old Italian defender:
‘Do we miss Acerbi? Maybe yes but let’s talk about a boy who deserved the chance to play at a big club. He is doing very well for Lazio, but we have two very interesting defenders in Ferrari and Magnani.”
