Recognition for a top player not only on Lazio, but in all of Europe is soon to come. After last seasons incredible performance that saw Ciro Immobile secure the capocannoniere in the Serie A TIM and the Golden Boot award in the Europa League, the biancoceleste want to lock-down the Italian striker, who has been on the wishlist of many other top European clubs for quite some time; in the summer Milan were one of the clubs that triggered the alarm bell for the player. The club intends to touch up, extend, and improve Ciro’s contract that currently binds him to Rome by hopefully giving him an imminent renewal. This could potentially come after the return of Ciro from the International break with Italy. Immobile’s contract will increase from 2.3 million euros to 3.2 million euros per season, plus bonuses. For two years in a row, the biancoceleste striker obtained €200,000 more for exceeding 20 goals – he will try once again this year to break his own records in a Lazio shirt.
