The agent of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Mateja Kezman, has spoken to Radiosei and revealed that the Serbian midfielder stayed with Lazio in order to bring the club to the Champions League. There were according to Kezman several important offers for Sergej during the summer and that he was for example offered 8 million in wages in France (presumably PSG). But together with Igli Tare and Claudio Lotito it was in all serenity decided that he should stay one more year. Sergej is considered an important player for Lazio to be able to reach the Champions League and he wants to be a part of that.
Kezman noted that Sergej is, after all, only 23 and Inzaghi helps him develop day by day. Kezman also commented on the question of Sergej’s estimated price-tag by saying that if you could sell a goalkeeper for 70-80 million, Sergej should be worth at least 100 million euros. Lastly, he also said that a renewed contract with Lazio is close, with some wage adjustments, but with no release clause.
