İstanbul Başakşehir’s Napoleoni: “I could have went to Lazio”

Interviewed by Radio Incontro Olympia, İstanbul Başakşehir striker Stefano Napoleoni has unveiled a background linked to his career, which he spent solely abroad: “I was brought to Poland by Zbigniew Boniek, who saw me playing at the Tor di Quinto. I did well in those games and he did not hesitate to bring me abroad despite my age only being 19. I had the chance to go to Rome to play for Lazio as a boy – reveals Napoleoni – but then nothing happened.”

After Poland, he spent 8 years in Greece playing for Levadiakos and Atromitos in the Super League. However, since 2016, the 32-year old has spent his time in Turkey with Başakşehir, appearing 46 times for the club in the Super Lig, scoring 9 goals.
