Once the international break concludes, league football will return and therefore Lazio can get stuck back into Serie A, as they attempt to get their season back on track. Two losses and a victory means that Lazio sit on just three points after three games and are set to play Empoli next. Interviewed by Pianeta Empoli, Empoli attacking-midfielder Ismaël Bennacer spoke about the Biancocelesti:
“The Capitoline are strong and there is no doubt about this. However, we must not dwell too much on the adversary and must trust ourselves, believing we can overcome them.”
Confident words but somewhat in awe as Empoli prepare to host Lazio on Sunday the 16th of September.
