Lazio breezed to a 13-1 victory over Serie D side Lupa Roma yesterday morning, as Simone Inzaghi was able to give game-time to and build the conditioning of those players not on international duty.

Speaking after the game, Lupa Roma president-coach Marco Amelia said the following to Il Corriere dello Sport:

“Of course, I do not like the result but we must still take all the positive aspects. Lazio? They made a very good impression, I am convinced that they will fight for the Champions League. Acerbi? He is a defensive leader. Strakosha? For me it is very strong, and if some fans criticize it, it will be up to him to prove he can stay at high levels.”
