Montenegro, Marusic leaves international duty early due to injury: the latest

Adam Marusic has left Montenegro’s withdrawal to return to Rome due to ‘physical problems’. On Tuesday, the defender will be evaluated by the medical staff of Lazio, but he trusts in himself to return and be available to Simone Inzaghi for the trip to Empoli that awaits the biancoceleste team at the resumption of the Serie A TIM this week. However, if Marusic should not be 100%, the coach could replace him on the right wing in midfield with Serbian Dusan Basta or Spaniard Patric, who showed up to play (and did so very well) in this past weekend’s friendly test against Lupa Roma.

The injury is said to be to the ankle pains that were accused in Matchday 1 against Napoli, as well as some discomfort to his back… is this maybe why Marusic has been Marusic so far this year? After all, he did make a promise at the beginning of the season: “I like the Serie A a lot, it’s a top class championship. I expected it so sincerely, there is a lot more tactics than Belgium. The first year went well but I want to make the next one even better and score more”.
