Former Lazio player Roberto Rambaudi, who spent time at the club between 1994 and 1998, was interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport; who published his comments about the current team and the adjustments that perhaps should have been made over the summer:
“It’s a strong team that can still improve. In my opinion, it can point to a Champions League place.”
“Quality elements have arrived but not a name of international importance. For example, Gomez would have been comfortable. In attack, Caicedo does not have the characteristics to do be a vice-Immobile, Wesley could be a useful purchase. In defense, Acerbi has continuity and experience: he is the right man for Lazio.”
“The stay of the Serb was good for everyone. With Inzaghi he can still grow; he needs more maturity but can be decisive. The Spaniard has solved the match against Frosinone, but I did not like it: he has yet to show his best play.”
