Ciro Immobile Agrees to Contract Renewal at Lazio

Ciro Immobile and Lazio is a relationship destined to stick together for a long time. Despite the biancoceleste striker this past summer receiving interest from many clubs (including Milan), Lazio are now willing to put a firm hold on all these offers by offering the top scorer of the Serie A an Europa League last season, a new and improved contract. Claudio Lotito wants to take zero risks in losing the player (for example, similar to a situation like Stefan de Vrij) and the club and Immobile’s agent – after a long negotiation – have found an agreement to extend the current contract by one year (2023). An adjustment to his salary will occur that will allow Immobile to reach 3.5 million euros with annual bonuses included. The signature and an official announcement will arrive when the player returns home from the Italian National team’s withdrawal.

The initial request of the player’s entourage was 3.8 million euros, but in the end the agreement was reached thanks to the inclusion of easily reachable prizes, which will enrich the fixed part of the contract (about 3.1 million euros), including 100 thousand euro for the first 10 goals, another 150 thousand for 20, plus others of the same tenor on the basis of appearances in Europe and in the league. In short, the player has been satisfied and he is ready to continue scoring with biancoceleste shirt.
