Marusic returns to training, Berisha and Luiz Felipe remain sidelined for Empoli clash
For the club and players of Lazio, it is time to get back on track and think about the Serie A TIM championship once again. After the pause in the Serie A TIM for the international break this past week where the biancocelesti had some of their players in action, the rest of the squad focused on conditioning back at home with Simone Inzaghi at the Formello. The goal of the club, especially Inzaghi, is to build off of the first win of the season which came right before the break against Frosinone in an eventual 1-0 victory; this was there first three points of the season. Their next challenge comes from newly promoted Empoli, a match that the biancocelesti must not take lightly.
In terms of the squad, Adam Marusic, who was injured on international duty with Montenegro and was a risk to starting, has now recovered. Today, he is back to training with the squad and will be available for this weekends clash – but will he be chosen to start? Many Laziali have called to Inzaghi to make a change on the right flank after two bland performances… Those who are unlikely to be available to Inzaghi are newly signed Valon Berisha, who is still training separately and trying to become match-fit, and Brazilian defender Luiz Felipe who was injured in Matchday 1 against Napoli.
