Pezzella: “Immobile is the attacker who has really put me in trouble”

Ciro Immobile has without a doubt been one of the Serie A’s top attackers over the past few seasons. Since he arrived in Rome for Lazio in 2016 his career has been revitalized.

The Italian has been terrorizing defenses since his return to Italy with 53 goals and 14 assists in 72 Serie A games. Since joining Lazio he’s won a Supercoppa Italiana, gotten to a Coppa Italia final, and won his second Capocannoniere title last season which has put his reputation in the league at an all-time high.

Fiorentina defender Germán Pezzella recently commented on Immobile’s form in the Italian top flight during an interview with Radiosei: “Immobile is the attacker who really put me in trouble,” Pezzella stated, “more than Higuain, Icardi, Dybala, Martinez, and Dzeko.”

This is high praise coming from the Argentine to put Immobile above other Capocannoniere winners, but it is completely deserved after the run of play he has had for the Biancocelesti.
