Lazio ran out eventual 1-0 winners against Empoli yesterday as the team won back-to-back games for the first time this season. Not only is it a back-to-back victory but a second consecutive clean sheet, with defender Martin Caceres playing half an hour of football.
Speaking to Sky Sport after the game, Caceres said the following:
“It was a difficult game, but slowly after two matches we are recovering; we know it’s a difficult championship and even the small teams can put you in trouble. Acerbi? He’s a great player, a good buy. We, as defenders, will try not to concede as many goals as last year. The championship has just begun and over time we will also find the physical condition.
