Inzaghi: ‘Immobile lack of goals is a concern; he will be back soon’

Lazio emerged as 1-0 victors over newly promoted Empoli yesterday as the Biancocelesti secured their second league win in two games as they prepare ahead of their Europa League tie with Apollon Limassol on Thursday. Lazio head coach Simone Inzaghi spoke at a press conference, revealing his latest thoughts:

“Yes, and the fact that it was the second 1-0 of the year. Last season we won the games scoring more, but we were suffering too many goals. We have to be better at adjusting the aim and continuing this streak of victories in the Europa League too.”

“It’s a concern when [Immobile] does not score for three races in a row. He’s growing, he’s working hard and I’m sure he’ll be back soon.”

“Probably our opponents deserved more. But we were good at managing the result. Of course, we should have doubled and if we had taken the goal in the end I would not be so happy.”

“We approached the match well, but Empoli are not easy to deal with. Many will struggle against them.”
