Lazio won their second match of the season yesterday evening when they emerged 1-0 winners away from home against Empoli. However, the result may have been enjoyable but the repercussions perhaps not so much. Veteran defender Stefan Radu went down with an injury in the 52nd minute, with tests now to be held to establish how serious the injury is.
Radu has felt flexor pain and the possibility of a muscular injury should not be excluded at this point. He will undergo tests over the next day to establish the seriousness of the injury and how long he will be out for.
He joins Luiz Felipe on the injury list whilst Lucas Leiva is not injured but in need of a rest so will likely be dropped in favour of new Croatian midfielder Milan Badelj in the Europa League against Apollon Limassol on Thursday.
