Simone Inzaghi organised and oversaw an intra-squad friendly as Lazio played Lazio Primavera this morning at Formello. The first team ran out 2-0 winners after goals from Bastos and Alessandro Murgia handed them the victory.
Lazio played a typical 3-5-1-1 formation with Proto in goal, a defence of Patric, Jorge Silva and Bastos, a midfield of Dusan Basta, Murgia, Lucas Leiva, Danilo Cataldi, Bruno Jordao; and an attack of Joaquin Correa and Felipe Caicedo.
Lazio scored both their goals in the first half, with Bastos rising to head home a Joaquin Correa corner and midfielder Alessandro Murgia finding the net too. The match was to rest those who played against Empoli and build match fitness for those ahead of the Europa League clash with Apollon Limassol on Thursday.
