Manchester United pressing for Milinkovic-Savic move

According to what has been reported by English tabloid paper The Sun, via CalcioMercato, Manchester United are keeping up their pursuit of Lazio’s 23-year-old Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The Red Devils were one of the clubs interested in Milinkovic-Savic during the summer yet Lazio president Claudio Lotito priced all potential suitors out of a move, selling him for no less than €150million.

Juventus, Barcelona and Chelsea were also linked closely with the Serb, whilst Inter and AC Milan also made late attempts to steal away Lazio’s outstanding young player. However, Sergej remained and is set to sign a contract renewal with the club, one that would tie him to the club till 2023 in theory, earning over €3m a season; which would make SMS the highest-paid player of the Claudio Lotito era at Lazio.
