Farris: ‘Luis Alberto and Milinkovic-Savic had to play vs Apollon’

Massimiliano Farris, Simone Inzaghi’s assistant manager at Lazio, often speaks after matches; giving his thoughts and opinions as well as reflecting to see where improvement is needed. Speaking after last Thursday’s fixture against Apollon Limassol, Farris said the following to Lazio Style Channel, via CittaCeleste:

In the initial training we made several changes compared to the usual lineup, just like it was in the group stage of the past edition of Europa League. Several players needed to take minutes, for example Luis Alberto and Milinkovic, others had to catch up. At the same time, we wanted to field a balanced team that would guarantee us a good dribble, physicality in the middle of the field and leg on the outer lanes. The race was developed just as we had prepared, but in the second part we lowered the pace by giving something more to Apollon.”
