Roma have had a relatively shaky start to the 2018/19 campaign, winning just once in their opening five games of the season; in a lucky 1-0 victory over Torino. To make matters worse for the Giallorossi, and better for Biancoceleste everywhere, Roma have suffered defeats against Milan and Bologna and drew with Chievo Verona and Atalanta. Speaking to DAZN, Roma forward Stephan El Shaarawy revealed his thoughts in anticipation of the Rome derby:
“It has been an unexpected start. After what we did last year no one imagined such a start. We have to analyse the matches between us, compare almost from men to footballers and take our responsibilities. Football always gives you the chance to make up for it and this week with the derby we have the duty to reverse the poor start to the season.”
