Patric made his first start for Lazio this season as the Biancoceleste defeated Udinese 2-0, giving them their fourth consecutive league victory and fifth straight win in all competitions. Confidence is high amongst the Laziale and Patric spoke to Lazio Style Radio to reveal his emotions and thoughts after the final whistle.
“Every time we are stronger, this year there are very strong players. Even those who play less get ready to help the team. One of my strengths is my head, I can always find new motivations.
“I’m happy to play and I’m always ready to perform better from time to time. Last year I did not expect to play in the three-man defense but I felt good, and if I have to help the team I’m happy to sacrifice myself.
“The derby? I now know what it means for all the Lazio, for us it is very important. Even the new ones have understood the importance and from tomorrow we will start to work to play it better.”
