After a disappointing 3-1 loss to Roma in the Derby della Capitale on Saturday September 29th, Lazio must get back to winning ways as they travel to Germany to play Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Europa League this Thursday October 4th.
Many players were heavily criticized for their performances following the loss at the Stadio Olimpico and because of this, a large turnover of their squad is expected when they take on the German club in the second matchday of the Europa League.
This is a challenge that can finally give Albanian Valon Berisha the opportunity to make his seasonal debut. It’s the right time, the Kosovar has solved his left thigh injury and is ready for his debut. Together with the former RB Salzburg man in the other midfielder roles will probably be Milan Badelj and Alessandro Murgia (with Danilo Cataldi hopeful of a chance); Dusan Basta and Riza Durmisi will occupy the two flanks (because Patric was not included in the UEFA list); in attack it is likely that Felipe Caicedo will be supported by Joaquin Correa (who is currently a favorite over Luis Alberto); Silvio Proto will start in goal; Bastos will find space in the three-man defensive line alongside one of Luiz Felipe, Wallace or Caceres and either Acerbi or Radu (depending on if he has fully recovered).
