After defeat to Roma in the Derby della Capitale at the weekend, Simone Inzaghi will, as per reports from Il Messaggero, no longer be ‘making concessions’; meaning expect a close to full-strength side and performance against Frankfurt this evening. The Europa League will no longer be viewed as a half-measure, with Lazio set to treat all matches with equal importance as they look to get themselves back on track.
The same reports suggest that, in the event of a defeat to Frankfurt this evening, Lazio will embark on a mini-retreat until Sunday, when they are set for a tough clash in Serie A against a Fiorentina who have been playing good football so far this season. Frankfurt will offer Lazio a very different test this evening, the two sides having never met before in European Football and, therefore, Inzaghi must prepare for the unexpected.
